The Department of Tourism at the UNWE organized a discussion at the Lucky Bansko aparthotel on the topic: What is the future of hotels in Bulgaria?
On December 8, on the occasion of the Student Day, Aparthotel “Lucky Bansko SPA & Relax” hosted the professional debate “Established vs. New Destinations: What is the Future of Hotels in Bulgaria?”, organized by the Department of Tourism Economics at the UNWE and the Bulgarian Association of Hotel Management Professionals (BAHE).

The event attracted leading names from academia, the hotel industry and the tourism industry, who discussed the future of tourism in the Rila-Pirin region through the example of the established destination Bansko and the emerging village of Banya.

The discussions touched on important topics such as sustainable development, investment attractiveness, the role of international brands, as well as new tourist preferences. Among the participants were Dr. Dimitar Krastev, Executive Director of Lucky Bansko, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asya Pandzherova, who presented the advantages of established tourist locations.
