A solarium is a device equipped with ultraviolet lamps for artificial light that successfully imitate natural sunlight.
The principle of operation of solariums is based on the effect of natural sunlight on the various layers of the skin, under the influence of which the pigment melanin begins to be produced.
In recent years, these devices have become extremely popular, as they offer a quick, easy and effective way to maintain an even complexion and chocolate tan throughout the year.
At the SPA center in Lucky Bansko we have the latest generation of Ergoline vertical device, which provides fast, effective and safe skin treatment, in line with established global standards.
The solarium has reliable protection and allows only the beneficial alpha rays to enter the body, which give the skin an even chocolate tan.
Unlike horizontal solariums, the vertical device allows for greater freedom of movement, which is a prerequisite for a more even tan.
In addition, the device allows you not to touch any surfaces, since you stand upright, although the solarium is disinfected after each use.
It is good to exfoliate your body before the procedure to remove dead skin cells.
Remove makeup, perfume, and cosmetic products that you use in your daily life, as they may react to the UV rays in the tanning bed and cause photosensitivity, allergies, or other skin problems.
Also remove all jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches) and contact lenses, if you wear them.
Before entering the solarium, we recommend that you use special cosmetics for use in artificial tanning devices. These cosmetic products contain beneficial ingredients and vitamins and are intended to both enhance the tanning process and keep your skin well hydrated.
You must wear a swimsuit and protective glasses when entering the solarium. We say this because your eyelids are too thin to protect your eyes from ultraviolet rays, even if you keep them closed the whole time.
Once you are completely ready, just enter the solarium and enjoy your stay there. We advise you to position yourself centrally in our vertical solarium to get a more even and complete tan.
The length of time you spend in the tanning bed depends on your skin type and whether it is your first or second visit.
After the procedure, we recommend that you apply a moisturizer to prevent your skin from drying out due to the UV rays and heat in the tanning bed.
The benefits of tanning beds don’t end with just a chocolate tan.
Not only visiting the beach, but also visiting the solarium accelerates the absorption of vitamin D.
This vitamin is very important for maintaining healthy bones, a strong immune system and muscles.
It has long been known that sunlight affects mood. When the weather is gloomy, we feel more irritable, nervous and in a bad mood. And vice versa – if the sun is shining outside, we are positive and full of energy.
Studies show that during a stay in a solarium, our body produces and releases endorphins (the hormone of happiness), just as it does when we are outside and the sun is shining.
In this line of thought, the procedure in a solarium reduces anxiety, restlessness and copes with bad mood and negative thoughts.
UV light has the same effect on biological processes, regardless of whether it comes from a natural or artificial source.
Thus, visiting a solarium not only provides the necessary vitamin D and increases mood and self-esteem, but also improves skin condition, lowers blood pressure and increases immunity.
Visiting a solarium is not recommended in the following cases:
If the rules are followed, tanning beds are completely safe.
However, our advice is that before your visit, you should consult with our specialists about both the duration of your stay in the device and the rules you must follow while in the solarium.

It’s convenient and easy — book your session directly at the SPA reception or by phone.
The length of time you stay is determined by our specialist depending on your skin type and the effects you want to achieve. However, your first visit should usually not be longer than 5 to 10 minutes.
If you do not achieve the desired effect from one session, you can repeat it again after 72 hours. According to experts, in order to greet yourself with a beautiful and even tan, up to 3 procedures are needed per week for a period of 1 to 2 weeks. After that, it is recommended to reduce the frequency of visits.
It is important not to rush and in no case to overdo it either with the number of sessions or with your stay in the solarium.
We do not recommend taking a shower immediately after leaving the cabin. Wait 2-3 hours before taking a shower, as the tan needs time to absorb and “set” on the skin.
If your skin feels dry, you can hydrate yourself by drinking more water and using moisturizing cosmetic products.
