What is a salt room?
The salt room (halotherapy) is a form of natural therapy that reproduces a microclimate with a high salt concentration, as in a natural salt cave.
The salt room at the Lucky Bansko aparthotel imitates a cave. The floor of the salt therapy room is covered with 100% Himalayan salt, and the salt crystals are dispersed with a device called a halogenerator.
The task of the halogenerator is to saturate the air with tiny salt crystals, which are inhaled during the therapy session.
For our younger guests, we have rubber toys that are positioned in the salt room and make their stay even more exciting.
Dimensions and technical characteristics of the salt room
Lucky Bansko’s salt room is located in the hotel’s SPA center.
The room, in the form of a natural cave, is designed for individual use by 2 adults and 2 children at the same time.
The place has a magnetic atmosphere and is relaxing and calming.
There are chairs left for the children, and adults sit in niches built into the walls.
How to use
If this is your first visit to the salt room, we recommend arriving a few minutes early for your session.
It is a good idea to wear comfortable, loose, light-colored clothing or a bathrobe. You can enter the salt room without shoes.
We also advise you to refrain from wearing perfumes with strong aromas and not to use electronic devices or phones during the salt therapy.
During the session itself, you do not have to do anything more than sit in comfortable places, relax, and inhale the tiny salt particles that float in the air.
Benefits of halo therapy sessions in a salt room
The benefits of inhaling mineral salts and trace elements in salt rooms are numerous:
- Improves respiratory system function: Inhaled fine salt particles absorb secretions from the nose and sinuses and remove them from the lungs and respiratory tract. Staying in a salt room is also extremely beneficial for respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, sinus congestion, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and others.
- Strengthens the immune system:Salt therapy supports the immune system by increasing the body’s resistance to various viral infections. Inhaling salt particles can improve the functioning of the immune, nervous and lymphatic systems, reduce headaches, increase energy flow and help normalize sleep.
- Reduces stress and tension: It has been proven that a 50-minute therapy in the salt room is equivalent to a 4-hour walk in a pine forest. And as you know, a walk in the fresh air leads to multi-sensory stimulation and has an extremely calming and relaxing effect not only on the mind, but also on the body.
- It has a healing effect on skin diseases: Halotherapy has a healing effect on respiratory and skin diseases and can be used to positively influence mental disorders.
- Improves skin condition: The pure mineral salts inhaled during salt room sessions have natural moisturizing properties and maintain the skin’s water balance. This leads to increased collagen production and a reduction in fine wrinkles.
In addition, the salt crystals of the salt neutralize the electromagnetic smog that accumulates as a result of excessive use of cell phones and computers.и компютри.
